6.         It’s Time for a Cure

            A Crystal Regulator Clock- Handcrafted

This French style four sided crystal regulator clock became popular in the late 19th century and was handcrafted in black walnut by our co-chair Dugald Campbell. This is the fourth in a series begun in 1992 and built exclusively for family members. While just completed for their home, Dug and Lynn have donated this clock as symbol that a cure for diabetes can’t come too soon. The fluted corner pillars set off this distinctive clock. All parts are made from solid walnut with a hand rubbed oil finish. The glass is beveled and the movement is polished brass with a Bim-Bam strike sounding on 2 brass bells. This clock has an elegance and beauty that qualifies it to become a family heirloom while at the same time helping to contribute to the cost of finding a cure.
