Established in 1970, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation has a single, focused mission: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. It is the leading nonprofit, nongovernmental funder of diabetes research worldwide; since inception, it has provided $800 million for cutting edge research to put an end to this devastating disease, which affects 21 million Americans.

The West Michigan Chapter is one of the most efficient of JDRF’s chapters. It’s high-profile events attract thousands of people throughout the West Michigan area and garner wide-spread media attention. Thousands more people receive the chapter’s newsletter, visit its website, and see its advertising.
