- Tools Available: The office has lots of tools (Balloons, Paper Sneakers, Team Captain Poster, Thermometer Poster ) available to help in any event in which proceeds go to your Walk team. Call the office at 616.957.1838 or 866.957.JDRF to request items.
- Fundraising
ideas: Below are some events our volunteers have done in the past that have raised money for their Walk team:
- Euchre tournament (Contact David Rice for ideas/help)
- Neighborhood garage sale - get JDRF balloons and ask each family to donate a set % of proceeds (if not all!) to your JDRF Walk team.
- Scrap booking party (contact Cathy Coury for ideas/help)
- Golf outing (contact Katie Clark for ideas/help)
- A letter writing campaign - Send to college roomates & friends, current and ex-coworkers, christmas card list. Ask that everyone on your team send letters to the same! (Be sure to include a self-addressed envelope!)
- Email chain (send an email to 10 people and ask that they send to 10 who ask that they send to 10). Katie Clark raised $2,800 in two weeks by doing this the first year!
- Create an online team: click

City) You can send emails right from your Walk website which has a link to your own online donation site! It's THAT easy!!!

There are great items available to use as incentives for team members. Another idea is to use the prizes as items at events. Ellie's Elephants uses the prizes from last years Walk as prizes in this years golf outing! Each team member donates their incentive!
