Generosity Steps in as West Michigan Walks

Thanks a Million!
West Michigan did it again! A Million thanks to scores of businesses, individual and family walk teams, volunteers and supporters who helped make the 2004 Walk to Cure Diabetes a $1.1 million success. Donations are still pouring in from the four walk communities; Grand Rapids, Lakeshore, Jackson and Traverse City. There’s still time to make a donation to the Cure! Walk Highlights
Each walk was filled with special guests and highlights, including U.S. Representatives Vern Ehlers and Peter Hoekstra who attended the Grand Rapids and Lakeshore walks, respectively, face painting by the Girl Scouts, Hope College and Upward Bound volunteers and the wonderful sounds of Alexis Rice and Taylor Howard singing the national anthem.
